San Marcos in Pine Mountain

This place is amazing the people are great they are very nice they all have the best attitude I was amazed to try the cheese and rice and chicken they call it a #55 I loved it so much the sweet tea was amazing the drink were cold and fresh the margaritas were amazing I would go here any day everyday now I can’t lie the best waiter to have is Antonio or Jose which he is the owner he was the most Impressive attitude he gets along with everybody there everyone loves him. I recommend this place to anybody and everybody any ages.

It just doesn't get any better than San Marcos! The food is amazing…it's always fresh and on the table quickly. The service is great and the prices are reasonable. To be completely honest, this is, 100% hands-down, the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to!

San Marcos is our favorite restaurant in Pine Mountain and we usually go there several times a month. The food is consistently good and Jose and all the staff are friendly. Service is really good.

It was good. Food taste was very good and service was very quick. Foodn prices were reasonable. Homemade margarita was awesome.

Reasonably priced. Great food. Amazing service. There were 13 of us. Six of those were children. Served in a very timely fashion and they separated the checks. Waiter, Luis, was the best!

The service was horrible. Me my wife got there around 9:30 and the owner Jose acted like he did not even want us to be it his establishment. When I asked if we could move to the other side of the Room where it was much quieter to have a romantic meal he said that he didn't have any open tables. When clearly the whole other side of the Room had no one in it. The waitress barely paid attention to us And we had to ask for every little thing including some water to drink while we were waiting for them to make sweet tea which they had ran out of. The food was absolutely horrible in my stomach is still messed up. I will absolutely never go back to this establishment again I felt that I was not wanted there and they could care less if we ever came back again so we will not be.

Terrible. Bad waiter. Mediocre food. Ran out of chips. Waiter upset because he messed up the order. I'm not going back. Not much better than Frozen TV dinners. The locals like it because you can get alcohol here. Bland food. Drive to LaGrange or Columbus instead.

I have to say this place is a wonderful place I’ve been to Mexico and all over the country I would have to say I love this place it’s so amazing. The service is amazing it’s faster then most fast good restaurants and they do not reuse there chips they throw them out and then we refill I’ve asked. There margaritas are amazing the taste is like a little rainbow in my mouth if I had to tell you to eat anywhere in pine mountain it would be San Marcos they are just amazing to bring your family in it’s like being at home.Also there cheese dip is amazing they home make it I love it honesty it was amazing.

When you pull up out front the place sort of resembles a road house or worse. It's a metal sided building, no windows. Inside is a little dated and rough as well. The food is good, run of the mill type Mexican fare. Serving sizes are very generous. We have stopped in here many times while visiting Callaway or staying at the Mountaintop Inn.What inspires me to rate five stars is a whole other story. Some friends of ours, the wife and I, stopped in here one evening pretty close to closing time. They were still busy and invited us right in. We sat at the other end of a long table with another group of folks we didn't know already sat and eating. We ordered some drinks and as always some very large goldfish bowl style ritas and daquiris hit the table. Next thing you know we are having a great time, doing shots with our server, and basically closing the place down. It was amazing fun. I would like to say that the exuberance was catchy. Maybe it was the tequila....

I've been eating San Marcos the entire 23 years I've been alive. Birthday parties, eating with family and friends, you name it. San Marcos feels like home not just because of the amount of time I've spent there, but also because of the staff. Jose and his people will guarantee you a good time and good food/drinks. Not to mention the prices are very affordable. Great Mexican food and great people. If I'm eating Mexican anywhere from Columbus to Atlanta, it's definitely this spot right here.

I'm from McDonough, GA and my wife and I were visiting a couple of antique shops in town. The shop owners from the 2 different places recommended San Marcos when asked where was a good place to eat supper. They did not disappoint! This was by far one of the best Mexican restaurants I have eaten in and I have eaten in quite a few. This even beats the authentic ones you normally find in the Mexican markets. The price to portion size was excellent. The service was very good and we didn't wait long for the food we ordered. I think the most expensive dish on the menu was around $14 I think. The next time my wife and I are traveling through Pine Mountain, we DEFINITELY stop in there!
